Nationally Legalize Recreational and Medical Marijuana

The American government needs to legalize both medical and recreational cannabis. Doing so would greatly benefit our nation, between the MASSIVE amounts of money it would bring in and the health benefits it can provide to our citizens.
Marijuana is far less harmful than both alcohol and tobacco, and has far more practical applications. Studies show that, theoretically, marijuana could save/make the U.S. government $11.2 billion yearly. This would be a major step in cutting the deficit and paying off the debt. For those of you who think that marijuana is bad and we should continue waging war on it, do some actual research and then tell me what's wrong with it.
