Everyday, we depend on electricity for a seemingly infinite amount of things. Electricity helps keep the refrigerator on, which keeps our food supply edible, and certain medicines are kept useful. Electricity provides us with the Air Conditionor in unbearably hot conditions, and the space heater in the unbearably cold conditions. And it provides us with the entertainment services we use everyday, and already pay for.
Electricity is essentially the key for living in modern society; if not, then it sure makes life a lot easier to live. We shouldn't have to pay for something that holds almost everything else we buy operational, while we pay for those other objects already. And for argument's sake, it's redundant to pay for a service that makes our electronic subscription-based services work.
