We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Nationally mandated law enforcement training and policy reform.

Created by K.V. on July 08, 2016

Following recent events, the American people demand a change in the training and policies in place for law enforcement. It has become obvious that there is discrimination within the system designed to protect American citizens, regardless of their race or financial circumstances. We see that people of color and people in the lower economic bracket are being targeted and harassed by police regularly. Now we know all police officers aren't bad people, but we do believe current policies are giving good men bad training. We do not feel that it is an unrealistic request to look into such an important entity such as law enforcement, and see how we can improve it. If we do not, it is apparent more innocent people will die and that is unacceptable.
