Nationally recognize Mixed Martial Arts as a legal, sanctioned sport.

Created by M.O. on November 15, 2012

Mixed Martial Arts (M.M.A.) needs to be nationally recognized as a legitimate sport, and as such needs to be legalized nationally. M.M.A. is a rapidly growing sport (similar to boxing) where two participants compete to test who has superior combat skills. However, it is a sport that is limited as to where it can be practiced due to laws which forbid any sanctioned M.M.A. event be held in certain states. Opposing views center around the notion that M.M.A. is a dangerous sport, while studies suggest that it is actually safer than boxing, Muay-Thai, or almost any other combat sport. Any small amount of research will show that M.M.A. is actually safer than many (if not most) nationally celebrated sports. For this reason, we must nationally recognize, and legalize, Mixed Martial Arts.
