nationally standardize a min age when a child is eligible to be left home alone/ with a child the same age or younger.

Created by T.S. on December 16, 2012

Children should not be left at home at a minimum age that is determined by their parents. Unfortunately, some adults do not have the mental capacity to understand that a child can not make adult or mature decisions under pressure. There needs to be a minimum age set and then a precedence that is up to the parents based on maturity level beyond that age. There are too many children being put in harms ways because an adult feels like they have no other way to have their child taken care of while they are at work, school, running errands etc. This needs to stop. This is senseless and we as a nation need to take a stand.
