We the People call on Congress to eliminate the tax on women's hygiene products (pads, tampons, etc.), also dubbed the "Tampon Tax." These products are not luxury items, but sanitary necessities. They are as necessary as toilet paper, and deserve to be treated as such. These hygienic items will be offered in public and private schools nationwide, as well as given to female inmates and juveniles upon request. City-run temporary shelters will also offer the items to girls and women who request them.
