In this area we have 6 Veteran service officers. 2 are from Guadelupe County which is paid for by the Texas Veterans Commission and 4 are volunteers which try to help all of Bexar County. The two are fully trained where as the 4 are trained 2 weeks out the year. This is a huge dilemma considering in Universal City, Tx. There is over 25000 citizens alone. Imagine all veterans in this area going to those same individuals. Now all our veterans of Bexar County are forced to find help elsewhere. Don't get me wrong a tremendous service is provided by those (V.S.O) individuals however there is a minimal amount of representation in this immediate area.
