We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

A needed change in school systems.

Created by J.R. on September 07, 2016

In schools, you are forced to take Core Classes. These being math, science, history, LA, and a language. Most math after middle school will never be used unless you follow a career in architecture or rocket science. Most science you learn won't be used unless you follow a career in science. The same goes for history and LA. And in most cases, you will probably never use that Spanish they had you learn.
It would be best to stop making these courses required to graduate and instead set them as an extra option for students to learn. Instead, we should have more courses focused on what career path the students want to follow, and more language choices. Coding, writing/playing/singing music, etc. And classes focused on how to pay taxes, buy a home, and other skills needed in life.
