Free International Car Trade
Negotiate with the United Nations to allow the United States and nations under the UN World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations to freely trade vehicles that both have passed either governing bodies' regulations.
Vehicles allowed under US and UN regulations are of comparable safety, theft protection, environmental consciousness, and overall quality; currently, only minor differences keep these cars from being traded freely.
This measure would allow more fuel efficient and lower emitting cars into the US, but also help American automakers (Ford has proposed harmonization of regulations before).
