Since August 2012, former United States Marine Jon Hammar Jr. has been sitting in Mexico's infamous CEDES prison following his arrest. Hammar Jr. was arrested while crossing the U.S. / Mexico border, with a shotgun. This shotgun was an antique shotgun belonging to his grandfather. Hammar Jr. asked a Texas Border Patrol Agent prior to crossing the border if he was legally allowed to take the firearm into Mexico on his way to Costa Rica. Hammar Jr. advised the Mexico authorities that he had the shotgun and was subsequently arrested for an aggravated felony. Jon Hammar Sr.(the Marine's father) is in fear for his sons safety and is doing what he can, as a nation it is our duty to do what we can. Jon Hammar Sr. has been begging the Obama Administration for help during this situation to no avail
