The Ukraine situation is immensely complex. We need to develop a better understanding of the complexity, and the relationship of Ukraine, particularly of Crimea, to Russia. Negotiation cannot be based on threats and ultimatums, but must be based on mutual respect and conducted in good faith. We must set an example for the rest of the world, promoting good will and improved relations among countries.
