The White House should ensure that the Internet remains open, equally to all content providers and users. The "commercially unreasonable" standard that the FCC is proposing have potential to open a loop-hole for large, internet companies to exploit in the future. The White House should work with Senator Al Franken to draft legislation that will concretely define "net neutrality" in such a way that can not be altered by the FCC or large Internet companies.
The goal of an open Internet is to promote innovation, education, communication, as well as promote many other facets of national and international society. This will be hindered if "net neutrality" is allowed to corrode.
