TO HOLD PRESIDENT OBAMA ACCOUNTABLE FOR HIS PROMISE BACK IN 2011 AND THROUGHOUT HIS CAMPAIGN TO NEVER HOLD OR DELAY MILITARY PAY TO SOLDIERS REGARDLESS OF POLITICAL ISSUES, FEDERAL SHUTDOWN AND OR BUDGET CUTS.
Military Soldiers make very little for what they do and their families rely on their paychecks to make most ends meet. In 2011 when pay was held, it affected Soldiers both at home and deployed, many missing payments on their bills (mortgages, utilities) and having to hold off on buying groceries and other necessities. Not knowing when they would receive their next check.
Our Soldiers pay should never be used as a bargaining chip in ANY political debate or debacle that congress created themselves.
