A New $25 Denomination Honoring Harriet Tubman

Created by E.H. on April 24, 2016

Harriet Tubman is an icon to African Americans and to women, but she is also a hero to all Americans who love liberty, individual accomplishment and enterprise and who cherish the central place the right to bear arms holds in preserving our freedoms. A new $25 bill will give Harriet Tubman her own place in our currency history, not a secondhand place and will allow us to add to our rich American history rather than diminishing it by dishonoring another great American, Andrew Jackson. Harriet Tubman and Andrew Jackson can, and should, exist side-by-side in the pantheon of truly great American public servants.
