The current system of electorate based voting is highly flawed. It was enacted to speed up the electoral process back when the populations were much smaller and political opinions were more regionally oriented. It seems to me with so many states coming down to a difference of minute proportions between the democratic vote and the republican vote, that instead of the "losing" votes of say 46% being tossed out because the state was won by the other side, that all votes should count.
That being said, it seems a though one side of he political coin is all for having voter id laws enacted, while the other shies away from the concept. Id like to point out that they won no state that had voter id laws. I believe that as a CITIZEN it is your right, if not your duty to vote.
