Brazil is the fifth largest country in land mass but has a misleading model of federation, it concentrates legislative, political and fiscal powers to the Federal Capital. 75% of all the taxes, collected in the country goes to Central Government. This model, in addition to impoverish the nation, creating bureaucracy, slowness, corruption and political bargains. It is impossible to govern 200 million people from Federal Capital!
The Federalist Party is proposing that Brazil is transformed into a true federation with autonomous states, as US, and the cities can be administered freely. We advocate also that all countries should decentralize the power to bring it to local population for the benefit of all.
