Since the NRA will never allow guns to be confiscated, we need a new law immediately.
Keep your guns. They just can't leave your house. You want to defend your home? Fine, done.
Your guns may never be on your person while you are off your property. All conceal and carry permits will be immediately voided. The only instances where you are allowed to be in possession of a firearm, while you are away from your home, are when you are taking the weapon home from the store or when you are driving to a shooting range/hunting area. When you are driving with your weapon, it must be in your trunk at all times and have no ammunition inside of it. Any behavior other than this will be illegal.
All assault weapons should be taken away, but if not possible, no new ones should be allowed to be sold.
