New Law for Buying Guns MUST include a note from your physician stating that you are of sound mind to buy a weapon.

Created by A.G. on January 03, 2013

I appeal to lawmakers that they add the following stipulation to buying a gun (rifle or handgun):
All persons that want to buy a hand gun or rifle must have a doctor's (a primary care physician) certificate that states the purchaser of the weapon is of sound mind with no mental issues. This doesn't have to be so revealing as to violate HIPAA laws but the primary care physician should be able to ask a checklist of evalaution questions that a doctor asks the potential gun buyer and also look at the patient's mental health status to give approval. Also, If a gunbuyer has a member of their household with mental issues then a gunsafe is mandatory. This certificate would be also be needed for gun show purchases.

Mental issues are the common thread with all of the recent shootings.
