NEW NATIONAL HOILDAY SHAKESPEARE DAY

I love reading shakespeare and I started thinking about why there is no hoilday for him? We study him in school, collage, and it's apart of our art and history, but there was never a day to honor his work and the man himself. I was told from a groverment office that it was because he never did anything for our country and he was not born here. Yes that was really told to me. So, i'm trying again to petition the groverment to make a national hoilday to honor him in the fact and we study his work, we watch his art, and we also learn his language of poetry. Althoe he was never born here which is true but the fact that the usa was not born before he was born but after should give him lee-way. I do know that the man is long past dead, but last time I did check we do honor the dead sometime.
