The epidemic of pain medication abuse has been focused on so much. New laws have been implemented. But those of us who genuinely need pain medications for serious illnesses or medical conditions, have been forgotten. Having to succumb to being treated like a junkie every time we go to the PMC. Policies that have been put in effect to correct the epidemic have been punishing suffering patients and their doctors. Drs.are scared to prescribe. It's unfair to them too. As a result, many are now refusing to write narcotic scripts or releasing patients who need them for no reason just so they don't have to deal with all the politics. As the government focuses on junkies, being fair to the needs of genuine honest doctors and patients have been ignored. Our needs have to be considered, ALWAYS!
