The New Zealand Government has decided NOT to remove asbestos from homes which have been damaged in the earthquakes in 2011. The Government is hiding behind it's own Insurance company the Earthquake Commission saying the decision is economic. The problem is that the company that manufactured and installed the asbestos so many years ago, is now the same company charged with repairing all the earthquake damaged homes. This has created an enormous conflict of interest. The New Zealand Government is killing our future generations to help one of the largest companies in New Zealand protect their bottom line. We would like President Obama to write to the New Government and ask for an explanation.
