What more will it take to end the madness of gun violence? How about a Bill called 'The Newtown Bill' which requires the same procedure we have to do to obtain a permit to operate a vehicle, with written test, operational test, safety test, and background check. Part of the written test should include psychological key questions to screen for high risk individuals. It is ludicrous for weapons to end up in the hands of people who are ill and need attention. And, this Bill needs to include an Assualt Weapons Ban, as Permits should be only for single acxtion rifles. Automatic Handguns are created for Law Enforcement and Military only and shall be by them only. Not securing your weapon at home or office, wherever shall result in the forfeiture of your weapon and Permit.
