President elect Trump and the leaders of Congress have expressed that repealing the Affordable Care Act, nicknamed Obamacare, is a main priority to be accomplished within the first 100 days. Their plans may even go as far as to strip away pre-existing condition protections.
However, as they receive the full benefits provided to federal employees, they will be unaffected by this action.
So as being an elected official is a service that one feels called to do and not a job, we the signed believe that all federally elected officials should be stripped of all benefits afforded to federal employees. This includes, but is not limited to, health insurance, retirement pension, and voluntary retirement accounts.
