Black Friday shopping on Thanksgiving causes people to go and seek out deals instead of spending time with their families. This goes for the regular people who don't work on that day and for the employees who are forced to work just for the stores to get a little extra money. Thanksgiving is a time of thanks and not for running around shopping. According to Time.com, stores are boycotting Black Friday sales so employees can spend time with people they love. So if we get rid of the whole opportunity to go shop on that day, then people wont feel urged to leave their loved ones to go get a good deal, when they can just go the next day.
