It is ludicrous and shameful that people who are citizens of this country, unable to work and are on social security disability be forced to wait up until two years to receive Medicare disability!
The affordable care act does not even assist in this scenario due to the high cost of the insurance policies. Most people on disability cannot afford to pay for their own insurance!
People who have contributed to the system and have earned enough work credits should not have to wait to obtain health insurance. Once a person has qualified for social security disability, Medicare disability should start immediately.
