This petition is intended to stop further gun control for the law abiding citizen and gun owner. Also to stop new laws from baning guns based on looks in the wake of recent tragidys.
New laws will only keep these firearms out of the hands of responsible people and will do nothing to stop ciminals from illegally obtaining these firearms, the so called "assualt weapons" which are no more than a deer rifle wearing different clothes. real military assault weapons are fully automatic. Just because a firearm looks similar should be no reason to ban these guns. new laws can't stop guns that are already in the hands of ciminals or the large amount of high cap magazines in this country already.
