Eliminate all Government subsidies, either direct or indirect, to any US business/corporation that doesn’t pay all of its employees at least a livable wage, as defined by the “Living Wage Calculator” at MIT. Any foreign entities that do business with the US shall be required to pay federal tariffs on all goods and services to offset any advantage attained through the exploitation of cheap labor.
It is counterproductive to give tax breaks and subsidies to employers that pay their employees a wage that is below a livable wage. At the same time the Government is expected to make up the difference in order for these individuals to barely subsist. Some entities through programs like SNAP and others essentially "double dip" at our expense. It is the “publics” money. Its time to spend it wisely.
