We, who are Koreans, are in opposition of Japan being a permanent member of the U.N. Security Council.
Japan never apologized for the atrocities that they committed in the past such as those inflicted during World War II. They said "history is just history."
The country never apologized for its past mistakes and therefore should not be eligible to become a permanent member of the U.N. Security Council. The majority of other Asian countries are also concerned about the Japanese rearmament.
