No longer allow philosophical exemptions for vaccination requirements to attend public schools.

Our country has witnessed the eradication of Polio, Measles, Pertussis, and other diseases that took a devastating toll on the world's population. The scientific evidence is clear. Vaccines work. Unfortunately, vaccines are not 100% effective. There is a small chance that a child will not be protected by the administered vaccine. These children are protected by "herd immunity"; however, in order for "herd immunity" to work, the number of vaccinated children MUST be as high as possible. The growing number of people opting out of vaccination for philosophical reasons, correlates with an increase in outbreaks of vaccine preventable diseases throughout the United States. Therefore, a philosophical belief that "vaccines are bad" is not a legitimate reason to refuse vaccination.
