With documentaries like Going Clear and other investigative literature looking into the inner workings of the Church of Scientology, it is clear that their organization has a long history of civil rights abuses. From the prison like environments that members are committed to, to the rampant stalking and harassment faced by those who "dare" to investigate the church, the church has proven itself a threat not only to their own members but to outsiders as well.
Furthermore, evidence has been gathered suggesting entrapment. In other words, there are members who are too afraid to leave because of the ramifications they and their families may face. Therefore, the IRS decision to recognize it needs to be reversed and the church needs to be dismantled.
