The Common Core is a somewhat new curriculum that was dropped on students in 43 states around America. It was designed by college professors who wanted students to be better educated when they leave High School. But the problem lies in how they want to get us there. I am a Freshman in High School in New York State. I, and my piers, know better than anyone what the Common Core is doing to us and whether or not its working. Its not working. The Common Core teaches students in a robotic, non-imaginative, and non-creative way. Its a very linear system, with little room for diversity. And, if everyone around America is learning the same, non-creative curriculum, then no one will learn to express themselves or think outside the box. Sign now and help America's future.
