No National Monument Designation for the Bears Ears Region in South Eastern Utah

Created by M.S. on July 27, 2016

The local people of Utah are overwhelmingly opposed to the President designating a new National Monument in south eastern Utah region known as the, "Bears Ears." We strongly prefer a more locally driven solution for increased protection and improved management of the area. Collaborative and exhaustive efforts such as the Public Lands Initiative is a legislative effort lead by Congressman Rob Bishop (R-UT) and Jason Chafftez (R-UT). Such efforts have taken into consideration comments from thousands of meetings over the last few years. Virtually all local elected leaders and their constituents are opposed to the National Monument designation. Radical environmentalist have created, funded, and assisted fake "tribal" organizations to fool people. Local Navajo do not want the monument.
