No new mandated labeling requirements for genetically modified food. Let manufacturers do it voluntarily.

Created by K.C. on June 28, 2014

No to mandated genetically modified food labeling. It should not be the Food and Drug Administration's scope of work to plan, initiate, execute, monitor and control and penalize our food providers for this specific task. Two other groups could do the same and more efficiently as well as less costly to us. One, is the food suppliers themselves, who would do it voluntarily once they see their market share drop. And two, our local supermarkets who would create special sections for consumers to buy from, just like we see the trend for organics. New supermarkets have sprung up just for organics because we the people buy them. Will happen with this too. The FDA is not the right group to do this.
