No payment for self-inflicted problems

Created by C.H. on July 07, 2016

The state of Florida has allowed the Lake Okeechobee to be used as a sewer and allows untreated human and animal waste to flow into it. They also do not regulate the levels of fertilizer from farms, lawn and golf courses that flow into it. This has created a lake with high levels of nitrogen and Phosphorus.
The release of water from the lake is to control flooding. The release of water has been occurring since 1937 and the state of Florida has been well aware of it. The problems are due to decisions made in the state. There should be no funds allocated by the federal government for any type of relief for the people of Florida.
