We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

No presidential intelligence briefings to candidates who have not released their tax returns for the last 10 years.

Created by G.H. on July 30, 2016

We write to you tonight concerning the tradition of providing intelligence briefings to the leading candidates for President. Although there's no law requiring the President to do so, it's a tradition that has gone back decades so that candidates for the office of President can make informed decisions about the world.

As it turns out, there's another tradition not required by law that also goes back decades-- the tradition of presidential candidates making their tax returns public, to allow citizens to make informed decisions about the candidates and to insure their honesty and integrity.

One candidate this year has broken with that tradition, and so we call upon you to do the same. No candidate should receive these briefings without releasing the last 10 years of their tax returns.
