Jonathan Pollard committed serious acts of treason to this country, and should not be released from prison under ANY circumstances, but rather should fulfill his entire life term in prison in the U.S.
The United States has and continues to support peace in the Middle East between Israel and the Palestinians, in particular, and recognizes that a two-state solution is in the best interests of Israel, and of the Palestinians. As such, it has and will continue to encourage all parties to negotiate and agree to a just and final two-state solution. However, at all times, it must be remembered that the U.S. is itself NOT A PARTY to the prospective peace deal.
It is unacceptable for ally or foe to demand any U.S. concession related to release of Pollard, to continue their own peace process.
