Congress has done little to act on serious public issues such as gun violence and safe drinking water. They are slated to be in session only 111 days in 2016 - being paid $1,567.57 each day plus benefits for their inaction.
If they are incapable of producing meaningful results before their summer recess, President Obama should call a Special Session of Congress, not to end until the citizens of the United States of America have been justly served by their governing bodies.
House of Representatives summer recess : July 16.
Senate summer recess : July 18
We the people are not served by those who do nothing.
