Serving your country as a Senator or Representative should not come with lifetime healthcare benefits or a pension. Years served as a Senator or Representative should count towards Social Security and Medicaid retirement requirements and nothing more. We need to do away with any and all appeal of serving as a Senator or Representative. Serving should be the only reward.
