No Taxes On Tips

For most of the 20th century, waiter and waitresses and those like them who performed services for the public were granted the small privilege of not paying taxes on their tips. I am not sure when it was stopped, but it is too tragic an irony in this day and age when the trillion on up crowd is threatening to bring down the government if they have their taxes raised to laugh at. In this time of economic down turn for most of the country the one tax exemption which needs to be brought back and made permanent is that graceful privilege for those who wait on us to receive their tips tax free. For that reason I want to petition the government to reinstate no taxes on tips.
