No U.S. military involvement in Syria! We can no longer afford to police the world.

Created by S.M. on August 26, 2013

We ask that any military involvement in the Syrian conflict be removed from consideration.

While the use of chemical weapons on civilians (regardless of whom is using them) is abhorrent, we cannot get involved in another conflict in a region where the people on both sides of the conflict hate us.

If our involvement in Afghanistan in the 1980's taught us anything it is that an enemy of an enemy is not always your friend, sometimes they are the GREATER enemy.

If Assad's regime falls, who will fill the vacuum? The Muslim Brotherhood? Al Qaeda? Is there even a distinction between the two?

Our primary concern in the middle east should be to protect our only TRUE ally in the region, Israel. As long as Assad isn't attacking Israel, leave it alone.

There is no upside for us.
