Politics has no place in the position, or the nomination, of our Supreme Court Justices appointees. Though a "popular" sentiment may be to nominate a current POLITICIAN (with sketchy history/integrity to boot) should she not become President, the seat on our highest court is not a "prize" to be awarded for past efforts - that's what Ambassadorships are for. Justice Alan Page/MN (Ret) is possibly the biggest no brainer choice a sitting President may have been presented - certainly in our lifetime.
