Brandon Stanton created Humans of New York to give the world a glimpse into the lives of everyday New Yorkers, but his website at humansofnewyork.com, book, and facebook presence do so much more. Mr Stanton's photographs are accompanied by a quotation from his subjects. But they are so much more- the community he has created is one of peace and understanding that transcends borders. The crowdfunding he has inspired has helped disadvantaged schools, raised money for struggling families, and, most importantly, given hope to the thousands of people who see his posts that people in this world can and will come together for the common good and to share love with one another. He has built something truly remarkable from photographs and the stories of the people he captures.
