*Brandon Stanton is the man responsible for the Humans of New York website and Facebook posts, which raise awareness about not only domestic but also global issues such as poverty and human rights. Stanton has been doing a series on refugees, expanding knowledge and awareness of this issue. He does this simply spending time talking to people, learning their stories, and sharing them with us.
The eligibility requirements to nominate somebody for a Nobel Prize state that "persons who have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize" may nominate someone else. President Obama won a Nobel Peace Prize in 2009, making him eligible to pass the honor on through nomination.
