On October 9th 2012 Malala Yousufzai was shot in the head by the Taliban in Pakistan for promoting girls' education. She was airlifted to England where she has been receiving treatment at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. On January 4th she was released to live with her family in England. Her father was appointed Education Attache to Britain by the Pakistani government to ensure that her and her family can stay in Britain where she can continue to recover and be protected from that Taliban, who have vowed to attack her again. Former Nobel Peace Prize winners are allowed to nominate others for the honor, and the President should use his status as one to nominate and promote her for this honor.
