Since the Citizens United decision created the ability of 501c(4) classified organizations to secretly spend as much money in political campaigns as they desire, this petition aims to resolve this issue. This petition does not make incredulous calls to overturn the SCOTUS decision or amend the Constitution to designate that "corporations are not people." Rather, this petition merely suggests that President Obama nominate new persons to fill the vacancies and/or expired terms of current FEC Commissioners, appointed by the previous president. It is President Obama's obligation and duty to do this.
