A petition to request that President Obama nominate Nobel Prize-winning Economist Paul Krugman as Treasury Secretary, in order to ensure that austerity is not the approach taken in the United States, and that a focus on job creation is the only way to return our nation to solvency. Mr. Krugman will stand against cuts to Medicare and Social Security when that resistance is most needed, to protect some of the most vulnerable in our society against those who would subsidize their profits with cuts to our benefits and will work to rein in rampant abuse of the Federal Reserve System by the banks.
