We, the undersigned, request that the administration nominate Prof. Paul Krugman to lead the Department of the Treasury and Prof. Joseph Stiglitz to chair the Council of Economic Advisors. Professors Krugman and Stiglitz have been consistently accurate in their predictions about the consequences of macroeconomic policy over the last decade, and have been fierce advocates for the kind of progressive economic policies that made our nation great.
