Antonin Scalia, has recently passed away and a new Supreme Court Justice will be nominated. This nominee must be Mr Lessig. The defining issue in the USA right now is money in politics, Mr Lessig is a staunch advocate of getting money out of politics and his first goal would be to overturn Citizens United. No matter who Obama chooses there will be a hard slog through the senate to get the nominee confirmed, even a moderate nominee. Mr Lessig is an independent who focuses on money in politics, an issue that 90% of the electorate agree with Mr Lessig on. With Mr Lessig being confirmed to SCOTUS, he will stop the USA from going down the path of Oligarchy that started since the Citizen's United case. Obama nominating and confirming Mr Lessig would be the defining moment of his Presidency.
