The US ranks 23rd among all countries on the issue of gender parity in government. Nowhere is this more evident than the fact that only 18% of the members of Congress are women. The best way to combat that would be to work towards gender parity on The Supreme Court.
There's also a shortage on the court of justices with experience in consumer law, the criminal justice system, technology and privacy issues, as well as Civil Rights. There are also plenty of women working with such experience to chose from who are not on your short list, but would make much better candidates than many of the ones rumored to be on your short list. A nominee who does not come from the corporate world will help ensure that the travesty that is Citizen's United can be overturned.
