It is time to begin to normalize relations with Cuba by dropping the trade embargo and lifting the travel ban of American Citizens to that country. By doing so we will not only increase trade which will help our stagnate economy, but it will also increase American influence over the Cuban government due to the increased interactions of American citizens with the Cuban people. It is time to recognize our current polices have failed to achieve the desired results and have hurt the common Cuban while doing little to hurt the Cuban government.
